This grant will provide support to explore of the use of landfill gas as fuel for the local hospital in Olavarria, Argentina.

Results and Outcomes
For this project, the University and Municipality will partner to relocate a medical waste from the hospital to the landfill. The furnace will use excess flared landfill gas and evaluate it for use as fuel for a pyrolisis furnace utilized in the treatment of pathogenic waste in Olavarria, Argentina. Project is replicable throughout M2M countries (laying the groundwork).
