- This grant was awarded to conduct methane emission and leak detection in the Chinese oil and natural gas system including the establishment of a China oil and gas methane inventory, as well as conduct project identification and promotion.

- Results and Outcomes
- The establishment of a China oil and gas methane. This study will design and implement a leak detection pilot project at a series of oil fields, processing plants and distribution lines in China. The results of these activities will be used by partner companies to implement maintenance activities that will reduce methane emissions. The results will be used by the study team to refine emission factors and emissions inventories for China’s oil and gas sector.
