The European Commission Becomes the 21st Methane to Markets Partner

24 September 2007

The European Commission (EC) became the 21st Methane to Markets Partner this week, a major milestone. The EC is the first multi-country entity to join on as a Methane to Markets Partner. Four EC member countries (Germany, Italy, Poland, and the United Kingdom) are already members of the Methane to Markets Partnership. The addition of the EC will provide further expertise and resources to advance methane capture and use in Europe and other Methane to Markets Partner countries.

The EC has joined the Methane to Markets Partnership just in time to fully participate in the upcoming Partnership Expo, to be held in Beijing, China from 30 October to 1 November 2007. This Expo will be the premier international forum for promoting methane recovery and use project opportunities and technologies, and will attract participants from around the globe.
